Livingroom Demolition Phase I

This weekend we were able to get a dumpster in finally and some people over to tear down the shingles in the livingroom.

In the next couple of weeks we'll be tearing down the paneling as well. We just need to pick up some drywall for the walls that are screwed up.

The wall that was under the stairs is going to get plaster as we've got some good wood there for the plaster to tooth into.

There was a spot above the doorway by the stairs that has the shingles still on it because they were put up and then the ceiling and some plywood were put over them. That area will also need drywall, so removal is on hold for that.

We actually ripped down a little of the paneling and found a spot that actually shows the original wallpaper. These aren't the best pictures but it's the best I can do.

We might actually take down some ceiling tiles to reveal the wood ceiling before the dumpster goes back on Friday. It all depends on how squirrelly we're feeling.
