It's been a long time...

Since I injured my wrist, damn near all work on the house has stopped. The good thing though is that I go for my final analysis on Friday and I'm pretty much done with physical therapy. My wrist is feeling great and I'm making sure that I keep it that way.

To celebrate feeling better, Mike and I have started cleaning up the yard again. All but 1 plant is dug out of the center island in the front and all but 2 on the left front. After digging everything up, the yard is looking better already. Plus, we burned up all the brush that we accumulated over the summer getting rid of the rhododendrons and trimming trees and such.

We've got a lot more digging ahead of us however, this weekend, we're going to get under the house and get those electrical splices up and into junction boxes. We're also going to be bracing up under the house where we're going to put the pole jack to jack up the interior wall that they removed. We're not ready to put up the wall yet, but we need to get the bracing down there before it starts raining and from the reports, the season should be starting on Sunday.

Granted, I keep saying "we" when talking about doing stuff under the house when really I mean Mike. I just don't do the under the house stuff. So while he's busy doing that on Saturday, I'll be busy doing more digging. I'm hoping to get the entire front yard cleared on Saturday.

Sunday is going to be decorating day. We've gotten everything that we need to spooky up the house for this year and we need to prep as much as we can because with the retarded dogs we have, we can't put up the final stuff until Halloween itself so that's going to be a mad dash once we get home.

Yes, more pictures will be forthcoming on the spooky old lady. Each year we figure we'll add to it and eventually we'll be the coolest spookiest house on the block and all the kids will have to come just to get the bejesus scared out of them!
